President Trump accuses 'dishonest press' of avoiding coverage of terror attacks

President Trump accuses 'dishonest press' of avoiding coverage of terror attacks

He again talked of the "dishonest media", suggesting in many cases they do not report on the atrocities linked to ISIS.

Ironically, many Americans believe they're in more danger of crime than they actually are and that's because the media covers violent crime and terrorism so much and so extensively.

"America stands in awe of your courage", he said. It's gotten to the point where it's not even being reported.

Trump once dismissed the trans-Atlantic military alliance as "obsolete".

The president earlier on Monday bashed The New York Times over its report on chaos and confusion within the White House.

President Donald Trump has vowed to allow into the United States people who "want to love our country", defending his immigration and refugee restrictions as he made his first visit to a military security headquarters.

In an interview on MSNBC's "Hardball" with Chris Matthews last week, Kellyanne Conway, a top adviser to Trump, attempted to justify the administration's temporary travel ban affecting seven predominantly Muslim countries following a huge backlash.

Not content to stop there, however, the president said he called his "own shots", and that "everyone knows it".

A senior House Republican says the United States is not the same as Vladimir Putin's Russian Federation, putting him at odds with President Donald Trump.

"So today we deliver a message in one very unified voice to these forces of death and destruction". We will defeat them. He ate lunch with troops before his speech. "Many of them have not been even close", Trump said. "And I saw those numbers, and you like me and I like you, that's the way it works", the president said as he kicked off his first speech to members of U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Command leadership.

"We have seen what happened in Paris, Nice, all over Europe", Trump said while speaking at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida in his address to USA service members.

The air base visit also follows a Navy SEAL raid against al Qaeda in Yemen, which is part of Central Command's responsibility.
