Suspect Arrested in Shooting Death of Ohio State Student

A statement via Grove City Division of Police told of Brian Lee Golsby charged with aggravated murder, along with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery.

Golsby will be arraigned on Monday at 9 a.m. ET.

Authorities say Tokes' auto later was found in Columbus.

The Grove City Division of Police located Tokes' vehicle on the 700 block of Oakwood Avenue on Friday, several miles from Bodega and about half a mile from Golsby's home. She was nude when she was found Thursday, but there was no sign she was sexually assaulted.

Tokes was last seen leaving her work, a Columbus restaurant, on Wednesday night.

Tokes was a student at Ohio State University and was completing her fourth year in a psychology major.

Brian Golsby a 29 year old Grove City, Ohio man has been arrested in connection with the shooting murder of Ohio State University student, Reagan Tokes.

Ohio State University was saddened by the news of Tokes' death, and offered a statement of condolences.

Police say Goldsby had just been released from prison in November of 2016 after being convicted of rape and kidnapping in 2010.

While they are not calling it a confession, investigators say during questioning Goldsby made statements consistent with the evidence police uncovered. Golsby was previously arrested for robbing a woman, then two weeks later, robbed and raped another woman in the parking lot of an apartment complex. The victim said her toddler was in the vehicle when she was assaulted, WCMH reported.

"We will always remember Reagan as a vibrant, loving young woman who embraced life. She had a genuine compassion for all people and brought laughter and joy to all who knew her". Her family has set up a GoFundMe to create a scholarship in her honor.

On behalf of the Ohio State community, we extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to Reagan's family and friends. Her funeral will be February 16 at Maumee United Methodist Church, according to family. "We are relieved that this investigation has identified a suspect, and we will continue to support our law enforcement partners as needed".
