Grammy Awards: Beyoncé, Busta Rhymes And 7 Other Politically Charged Comments

Grammy Awards: Beyoncé, Busta Rhymes And 7 Other Politically Charged Comments

Chance The Rapper, who won Best New Artist also took home the Grammy for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Album, was the first artist to be nominated for Grammy's without a debut album. She later apologised to the audience and started her performance again. According to People, she planned to share the trophy with Beyonce.

Even though Beyoncé lost the Album of the Year Grammy to Adele, it can't be denied that the execution of the original film and the slow rollout of videos over the last year has been flawless. That album was for us and she acknowledged it.

Adele confirmed her marriage to partner Simon Konecki at the Grammys on Sunday.

After she paused her tribute and dropped an F-bomb, Adele said "I know it's live TV, I'm sorry", before she was briefly cut off by a CBS censor.

Other early winners include Patton Oswalt (Best Comedy Album), The Beatles: Eight Days A Week, The Touring Years (Best Music Film) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Best Score Soundtrack).

Adele went on to further laud Beyonce, thanking her for letting us "see another side to her" that is not always apparent through her work in the reflective and critically acclaimed Lemonade: "All of us artists here adore you, you are our light". But she lost me when she said to Beyonce that she loves how she makes her black friends feel empowered'. "I can't possibly accept this award, and I'm very humble and very grateful".

"All us artists adore you".

David Bowie, who died of cancer in 2016, won all four of the awards he was nominated for, including best rock song for Blackstar. "Would hold you up forever".

Keith Urban and Sia Furler have struck out at the Grammys, but Sydney DJ and music producer Flume has victoriously waved the Australian flag with a win for Best Dance/Electronic album for Skin. And the fact she was rubbing her belly while dancing (and sitting down) just made it all the sweeter.

James Corden, hosting the Grammys for the first time, rapped some of his monologue at the top of the show, namedropping Prince, Rihanna and Drake. However, the artist Corden was most impressed with was Cee-Lo Green, who showed up dressed entirely in gold.
