Conor McGregor And Floyd Mayweather Come To Terms

Conor McGregor And Floyd Mayweather Come To Terms

"Absolutely. That's what everyone wants to see".

Mayweather and McGregor have been engaged in trash talk past year and early into 2017, unable to get to a prize purse that each fighter is comfortable with.

The hotel said: "The Red Cow Moran Hotel in association with Industry Entertainment regret to announce that the evening event with Conor McGregor scheduled for Friday 17th February has been cancelled due to circumstances beyond their control".

Floyd Mayweather Jr., 39, is unbeaten in 49 career fights.

Smith claimed Mayweather told him that while nothing was signed, he was "very, very close" to signing a bout agreement to fight "Notorious".

Both men have agreed their respective fees and the only delay to a finalised deal is a third party issue.

"I think he would have the possibility of knocking out Mayweather", said boxing coach Mark Henry after McGregor beat Henry's fighter, Eddie Alvarez.

However, many believe McGregor is holding the UFC lightweight division hostage as the title isn't likely to be defended until the summer of 2017 or maybe even longer.

"There's not a lot I wouldn't let Conor do", White said.

As Diaz left the arena, the two fighters started shouting at each other, which led to hurling of water bottles and cans at each other until the security intervened.

UFC President Dana White and Mayweather then responded to this report, however, making it seem as if the news wasn't true. According to USA Today, the Conor McGregor Floyd Mayweather bout is never going to happen if Money Mayweather doesn't get his way and secure 60% of the overall profits of the fight.

His success has made him the UFC's biggest star in its promotion, securing more than 6 million pay-per-view buys in a 12-month period, which allows him the freedom to dictate his future fights.

There is the prospect of a "billion dollar fight" between Mayweather and McGregor, but it needs close and scrutinized sanctioning.
