Chris Christie says Philadelphia Phillies fans are 'an angry, bitter fanbase'

Chris Christie says Philadelphia Phillies fans are 'an angry, bitter fanbase'

Christie spokesman Brian Murray says that the judge ignored an earlier decision that finding probable cause was flawed.

"The criminal complaint was brought against Christie by William Brennan, a Bergen County activist who is now running for governor", WNYC reports.

Chris Christie does not have love for the City of Brotherly Love's baseball team or its fans, which was made clear in a recent interview where he slammed the team and the fans.

For Christie to go on trial, the case would have to be presented to a grand jury, which would have to hand up an indictment. "The only thing he may do is head up a commission to investigate the opioid crisis".

Brennan's complaint accuses Christie of failing to stop subordinates from purposely creating traffic jams in 2013 as an act of political retribution against Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich who didn't endorse Christie's re-election bid. Last month, the Bergen County prosecutor's office, which would prosecute the case, wrote in a letter that it wouldn't pursue charges because it didn't feel the evidence could prove official misconduct beyond a reasonable doubt.

Last fall, former aide Bridget Kelly testified that Christie knew about the planned lane closures on the GW Bridge when they were first proposed and that he once threw a water bottle at her in anger.

Last month Christie had some choice words to say about the Eagles, saying Eagles fans are "angry, bad people". The law requires this judge to have done the same.

"I'm a sports fan, and I enjoy that stuff", Christie said during the segment.

Christie has denied knowledge of the scheme until weeks or months later.
