School of Nursing ranked first in the nation

SOLES' top-tier ranking has continued to rise over the past several years, reaching 89th, up from last year's 93 in the 2018 U.S. News and World "Best Graduate Education Programs" report.

U.S. News & World Report's rankings are based on many factors, which are weighted differently in each field.

"We are thrilled that U.S. News continues to rank us among the nation's top law schools and that we are improving in these rankings", said FSU College of Law Dean Erin O'Connor.

Engineering specialties: aerospace (5), biomedical (10), civil (9), computer (6), electrical/electronic (7), environmental (4), industrial/manufacturing (2), materials (9), mechanical (6), and nuclear (1).

The IU Maurer School of Law in Bloomington ranks 30th overall. Rankings in these categories were based exclusively on reputation surveys. "Our faculty have worked hard over the past few years to expand the range of our graduate offerings and to attract the very best graduate students to our program". Its clinical training program ranks 11th.

The national rankings had Harvard Business School and the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School tied for the no. 1 MBA program, with the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business clocking in at no. 3. The publication's Best Graduate Schools Rankings were released March 14. "Whether you are interested in pursuing a full-time program or taking classes part-time, the grad school rankings and advice offer guidance on finding programs that help you fulfill your personal goals".

"Our talented and experienced students are drawn to the Wake Forest MBA programs to be immersed in an exceptional classroom experience conducted by our distinguished faculty and supported by a first-class administrative staff", said Timothy Janke, associate dean for Wake Forest MBA programs.

The School's master's and doctor of nursing practice programs each placed first in the report.

"Through this competitively robust program our students will transform today's complex healthcare environments through the application of cutting-edge and innovative problem-solving methods applied in their own work settings", Conroy said.

UB's Graduate School of Education was ranked No. 80, down from No. 71 in 2016.

To compile their list, U.S. News ranked 197 law schools accredited by the American Bar Association using 12 weighted metrics, including bar passage rate, mean LSAT and GRE scores, and acceptance rate. Data from peer assessment in other areas is collected on a rotating basis.

UC San Diego's biomedical/bioengineering specialty in the School of Engineering was ranked third. Engineering specialty rankings are based exclusively on peer assessments by department heads in each specialty area.

In addition to the main program rankings, U-M was rated on 54 specialties.

The Social Sciences and Humanities Ph.D. categories were last updated in 2013. The annual America's Best Graduate Schools report began in 1990.
