McDonald's apologises after hacker sends tweet abusing Donald Trump

McDonald's apologises after hacker sends tweet abusing Donald Trump

It was pinned to the top of McDonald's Twitter feed for a period of time.

After being notified by Twitter Inc. about the hack, McDonald's took action.

Thee tweet is a reply to President Donald Trump, and it is not very nice to him. It is for this reason that "this McDonald's tweet was destined to become content the moment it was born".

Others posted: "I got wifi on the plane and I can't stop laughing at the McDonalds tweet".

While it was deleted just minutes later, it was too late.

That tweet garnered almost 99,000 "likes" and was retweeted more than 25,000 times.

Those who found the tweet amusing suggested McDonald's character Hamburglar hacked the account. The US President shared the image on his Instagram account.

Analysts said the hack raised questions about security at Twitter, but was unlikely to do much damage to the restaurant chain's brand. "I think all of those places, Burger King, McDonald's, I can live with it", he told the audience.

Plenty of people captured the brutal message and couldn't believe it was posted on the fast food giant's page.

His supporters are also boycotting Hawaii after a judge from the state temporarily halted Mr Trump's second travel ban. Trump told Anderson Cooper at a CNN town hall a year ago. During the 2016 presidential campaign, he Instagrammed himself eating a hamburger and fries aboard his private jet. Others have pointed out that Grimace co-starred in a McDonald's commercial with Trump in 2002.

A message to Donald Trump appears on the McDonald's Twitter account timeline - which McDonald's said was hacked - in a screen capture March 16, 2017. They looked into this incident using some deductive reasoning. Although the company later clarified that product changes were more important growth drivers than President Trump's tweets.
