Transformers 5 trailer teases a massive brawl between Optimus Prime and Bumblebee

Transformers 5 trailer teases a massive brawl between Optimus Prime and Bumblebee

Last weekend brought a new clip from Transformers: The Last Knight, not to mention an extended TV spot giving us a peek at baby Dinobots and showing us just how tough the franchise's young new star, Isabela Moner, is going to be.

If you want to see more of this footage, then the full trailer will show ahead of Disney's Beauty and the Beast when it premieres. According to Izzy, central to her backstory is being teased by other kids for fighting and running "like a girl", a taunt that she responds to by staring defiantly into the camera and demanding, "Don't you?" Look, I'm all for female empowerment and coming from Transformers, a series that's made a habit out of objectifying women, it's definitely a step in the right direction. Izzy and Sqweeks will help lead that new order when the rest of the movie comes to theaters on June 23.

The trailer starts out with a destroyed football field before we're asked, "Y'all wanta see some dead robots?"

In the fifth Transformers film, we catch up with Mark Wahlberg's character, Cade Yeager, a couple years after the big battle in Chicago. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. The film will also be the 5th and final Transformers directed by Michael Bay. Mark Wahlberg returns from 2014's Transformers: Age of Extinction and will be joined by Anthony Hopkins, Josh Duhamel, Stanley Tucci, and John Goodman. Heroes will become villains.
