Everton fans react on Twitter to Calvert-Lewin display against Hull

Dom Calvert-Lewin scored his first Premier League goal as Everton hammered Hull 4-0 this afternoon.

Calvert-Lewin's maiden Premier League goal put the hosts ahead early on, though an injury to Morgan Schneiderlin resulted in a stuttering display from the Toffees.

The Tigers then received a hammer blow when Tom Huddlestone was given his marching orders after flying into Idrissa Gueye with a risky challenge.

The Merseyside outfit are going strong, with the likes of Lukaku and Barkley playing well.

Romelu Lukaku is wanted by Chelsea and Manchester United.

He is the first Everton player to score at least 20 league goals in a season since Gary Lineker hit 30 in 1985-86. United face Middlesbrough on Sunday. At the end of the day, the big aim in football is to win as many titles as you can, so we need to try more, give a bit more. I am not afraid because the player has two years left on his contract.

Keeping his composure impressively, he struck with a close-range finish after fellow youngster Tom Davies unhinged the Hull defence with a precise cross.

A calf injury to Morgan Schneiderlin was the one downside of the day and the influential midfielder is likely to miss the Merseyside derby at Anfield immediately after the worldwide break.

The French midfielder, 27, had to be replaced after half an hour.

Huddlestone was dismissed in the 73rd minute when referee Paul Tierney ruled his lunge on Lukaku was worthy of a straight red card.

Having already teed-up Enner Valencia's strike, Lukaku took advantage of slack Hull defending to move two clear of Tottenham's Harry Kane in the race for the Golden Boot on 21.
