"We are pursuing this further with the Government of Pakistan", Swaraj said in a series of tweets. We got a call from the India government, we would like to thank the government.

The son of the Nizamuddin dargah head priest, who has gone missing in Pakistan, has pleaded that his father be "released" as he is not involved in "any activity" that should invite any action. Next day they went to see Data Darbar Dargah in Lahore.

The clerics identified as Asif Nizami and his friend Nazim Nizami, belonged to Delhi's Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah.

The mystery deepened further when someone by the name of Hammad from his sister Kanwar Jahan's home in Karachi went to receive Asif Nizami at the Karachi airport. The clerics visited the shrines of Khawaja Fariduddin Ganjshakar - widely known as Baba Farid - just outside Lahore and the Data Darbar inside Lahore, according to photos they shared with their families, officials said.

But Indian officials cited indications from the clerics and Pakistan that suggested their disappearance and reappearance were linked to Pakistan's intelligence. Karachi-based relatives of the Nizamis had on Thursday said that one of them had been detained at Lahore airport while the other went missing upon landing in Karachi.

According to Pakistani media reports, both clerics had been in "interior Sindh where there was no communication network" and that is why they could not tell their relatives about there whereabouts.
