The Nintendo Switch Could Learn From The Nintendo NES Classic Mini

The Nintendo Switch Could Learn From The Nintendo NES Classic Mini

If demand for the Switch dips after the initial launch excitement, Nintendo will be stuck storing a lot of hard-to-sell hardware that it paid a premium to produce as quickly as possible. GameStop is also now advertising two Nintendo Switch bundles, however, customers could potentially be waiting until Sunday, April 16 for their packages (they are now listed as out of stock). Will it climb up to the ranks of the PS4 or Xbox One? However, the original Wii sold 17 million units in the first year, after the holiday launch and Switch has not even gone through a holiday yet. It is still advised to check stock availability before going to the store, but Nintendo Switch is likely that every order will be fulfilled this week.

The company also said that "the total number of fix or replacement requests for Nintendo Switch, including for Joy-Con, is consistent with what we've seen for any new hardware Nintendo has launched". The more expensive $599.99 Switch bundle is available online at GameStop.com.

This week, we saw The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+, Human Resource Machine, Little Inferno, World of Goo, and The King of Fighters '94 join the still short list of games playable on the Nintendo Switch.

Gamestop also commented that they are treating this like a midnight launch.

The appeal of the Nintendo Switch has evidently not been deterred despite the complaints of the Joy-Con controllers.

Meanwhile, there's bad new for those who have not pre-ordered the Nintendo Switch for they will have to buy it at a steep premium. Starter Bundle Two rings in at $599.99 United States dollars and includes the Nintendo Switch system, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game, Expansion Pass (digital), and Strategy Guide, Just Dance 2017, Snipperclips: Cut it out, Together! Nintendo killed region locking on the Nintendo Switch. Now if only it could fix that left Joy-Con issue.... Both versions will be the same price. It is common with any new innovative consumer technology for consumers to have questions, and Nintendo Switch is no exception.
