LBA gears up for egg hunt

The event will feature an appearance by the Easter bunny.

Each year, for the past 14 years, members of the LBA have donated four dozen candy-filled eggs for the hunt and this year could see even more eggs ready for finding, Bass noted.

The Canyon Lake Family Matters Club is hosting its third annual Glow-in-the-Dark Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 1, from 5 to 8 p.m.at Holiday Harbor Park.

"At the Easter egg hunt that Tuesday, the Lakefield Girl Scouts will be providing some fun activities for the kids to do in the Pleasantview gym as they wait for the hunt to start at 5:30 p.m.", Bass said.

This is not just any Easter egg hunt, however.

But while you can pick up many Easter eggs for a couple of pounds, this one will set you back a whopping £24.99 on Amazon. Participants must RSVP by 6 p.m. on March 31. On April 8, Babcock Presbyterian Church, located at 25 Maxson Hill Road in Ashaway, will be holding its annual egg hunt for children aged six to 12. Only one parent will be allowed to enter with their child when designated except for the baby group in which two parents will be allowed.

Washington Crossing The Kiwanis Club of Washington Crossing-Yardley holds an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8 beginning at 10 a.m.at the Village Green, Washington Crossing Historic Park, Routes 32 and 532, Washington Crossing. $2 donations will be accepted and all proceeds will benefit the Special Olympics.

10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, Teays Valley Presbyterian Church, 5339 Teays Valley Rd., Scott Depot, West Virginia. The festivities will include face painting, live entertainment, field games, concessions and pictures with the Easter Bunny.

The egg hunt is free and is open to children with special needs and their families. Admission and participation in the Egg Drop are free. Bring your camera to take photos of your child with the bunny. Age categories are: 2 and younger, 3-6 and 7-12.

Easter egg hunts are a popular spring tradition for children and families. Find them online at sodadearborn.com or on Facebook. A breakfast with the Easter Bunny is planned from 9 to 10:30 a.m.at Al's Restaurant. Pictures of each child with the Easter Bunny will be available for purchase, as well as Easter plants, baked goods and handmade crafts. Be sure to visit the prehistoric forest to hunt for Mama T-Rex's dinosaur eggs and return them to her in exchange for a goody bag. It takes place from noon to 1:30 p.m. "So come on out and join us on April 15 for a fun time in Georgetown". Monthly meetings are held the first day of the month.

And the Easter treat has also been created to fit with all kinds of diet fads.
