For 12 Year-Old Girl From Blue Springs, Missouri

For 12 Year-Old Girl From Blue Springs, Missouri

The suspect's brother, Jason Dela-Cruz who was driving the vehicle, is still on the loose.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Blue Springs Police Department at 816-228-0100.

Police say William DeLa Cruz and Jason DeLa Cruz travelled from Maryland to Blue Springs to meet the girl.

The Blue Springs Police Department has issued an Endangered Person Advisory for a missing person incident that occurred at 2514 Northwest 6th Street, Blue Springs, MO 64014 at 11:21 P.M. on 04/08/2017.

The other brother turned himself in later Sunday afternoon to police in Columbus, Ohio.

"They actually arrived in the Wentzville area at some point during the middle of the night" said Wentzville Chief of Police, Kurt Frisz. Along the way, a nationwide Amber Alert focused attention on the whole affair.

During the drive back to Maryland, according to the federal affidavit, the two brothers argued.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, about two hours after the alert was issued, the victim was found safe and sound in eastern Missouri's Wentzville and a suspect, William L. Dela Cruz, was taken into police custody. "They're on the highway. If it wasn't for those phone calls we received, we wouldn't have been able to recover this child".

Because this case crossed state lines, it now falls on the FBI to investigate.
