IPhone 8 pre-orders may begin in September

An excerpt from White's research note with investment banking firm Drexel Hamilton, obtained by Macrumours, claims "Our contact strongly believes the 5.8-inch iPhone 8 will be delayed by several weeks due to challenges around the 3D sensing technology, but still in time for the December holidays". Apple is expected to launch new iPhone along with curved OLED display in its September event, but shipping will be delayed by several weeks.

However, a number of rumours have cropped up over the last few months, suggesting significant shifts in Apple's design format, the company's flirtations with VR/AR capabilities, pricing of future iPhones.

Apple's iPhone 8 is not a new name as the US-based multinational buckles up to celebrate 10 years of iPhone this year. Despite the delays, there is some good news about the next flagship smartphone from Apple.

Apple-related news chains are filled with rumours on the premium iPhone 8 model costing in excess of $1000. "Our checks indicate; however, that 3-D sensing could be pushed out to 2H18 and potentially introduced on an "iPhone 8s" model rather than this year's model (with Chinese OEMs front running the technology in 1H18)".

According to his most recent research note, a copy of which was obtained on Wednesday by AppleInsider, Cowan and Company analyst Timothy Arcuri detailed how Apple has apparently "reached a bottleneck", and is now generating much lower than expected yield rates for the iPhone 8 and its glass-embedded Touch ID sensor, citing his own supply chain work.

Initially, iPhone 8 is expected to hit the market in September.

The much-awaited "iPhone 8's" release might be postponed.

White firmly believes that iPhone 8 will come in time as a Christmas present.

The iPhone 8 is set out to be one of the most impressive Apple smartphones to date.

While everything it nice and good on the side of the Apple iPhone 6s, the same can not be said about the Apple iPhone 6 users.
