Cristie Kerr wins LPGA Lotte in Hawaii for 19th tour title

Cristie Kerr wins LPGA Lotte in Hawaii for 19th tour title

American Cristie Kerr has won the LPGA Lotte Championship for her 19th tour title, closing with a six-under 66 for a three-stroke victory in Hawaii. She earned $300,000 - moving her into fifth on the 2017 LPGA Official Money List - pushing her over $18 million in her career (she sits third on the LPGA Career Money List).

"You know, on Friday morning I wasn't playing too well and then I just found something and was able to turn it on and I just kept it going", Kerr said after the win. "That (first) day and a half that I had struggled a little with my swing feel it was an unbelievable run".

In Gee Chun is two shots further back after the 2015 US Women's Open champion moved to 12 under after a 65. "When you get to hole the putts that you don't necessarily think they're birdie range, it's always nice".

"I stayed in the moment and started walking them in".

Jang entered the final round with a three-shot lead but closed with a par 72. "So I've been very excited and just grateful for the opportunity". One of the hottest players on the tour over the past year, Ariya is still looking for her first win of 2017 after a couple of runner-up finishes.

Ko has shot a superb eight-under 64 to finish second.

The Kiwi teenager mixed nine birdies with one bogey, completing a fine weekend which began with a 65 on Saturday. Hawaii's Michelle Wie, who won here in 2014, is tied for 60th at 1 under.

"This week we really just tried to be aggressive from the get-go", said Salas, who broke 70 just twice in her first seven tournaments this year. She said that she had an ineveritant run-in with some wildlife Friday that may have given her some good luck.

Third-ranked Ariya Jutanugarn and Stacy Lewis tied for seventh, six strokes behind Kerr.

Ko, who has been at less than her best in 2017 after making several off season changes including caddie, coach and equipment, was 15-under for her final two rounds signalling a return to her dominance of recent years may be at hand.
