Nuri Sahin reveals Borussia Dortmund bus horror: I will never forget this

Nuri Sahin reveals Borussia Dortmund bus horror: I will never forget this

The match in Dortmund against AS Monaco was postponed after three explosions near the vehicle that injured Spanish defender Marc Bartra.

Spanish global defender Marc Bartra underwent emergency surgery for a broken wrist and to remove glass that became planted in his arm after the blasts shattered windows on the team bus.

The second leg is being played next Wednesday in Monaco.

The fixture was consequently pushed back to Wednesday, but coach Thomas Tuchel wanted more time for those affected to take stock of the incident and branded the rescheduling "absurd".

Former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has questioned UEFA's decision to reschedule the German team's Champions League quarter-final for just 24 hours after their bus was attacked.

"I don't know the exact circumstances around the bombs going off and all of that, but I'm sure it was very hectic, very scary", Arena said.

"The decision to play the match was made in agreement with clubs and authorities", it read. It was the most hard day in my life and I hope that nobody else has to live this day. "They are more thoughtful". "We stayed very focused for two days for this game, the attacks perhaps changed the [Dortmund] players' concentration".

'We were not attacked on the field by an opponent; we were attacked from inside the bus as men, ' Tuchel said in a post-match broadcast interview with former Norway worldwide Jan Aage Fjortoft. "But when you are not in the bus, I'm sure you can not imagine how it was exactly".

"When I saw Marc [Bartra] there and I sit next to [Marcel] Schmelzer - and I will never forget Schmelzer's face, it was unbelievable".

"There is not a real announcement in this moment, but what I can probably say is "yes", said Klopp when asked whether Gerrard was to become coach of a youth team. They created this atmosphere, but they tried to be at their best and after the game I saw the faces of the players and I saw the shock in their eyes and that was really hard. And that was the point of time when we were informed.

However, "so far the investigation has turned up no evidence that the suspect participated in the attack", they said in a statement.

"I'm a player, when you're under pressure, you have to keep a clear head, be calm".
