Victoria Beckham Receives OBE from Prince William for Her Work in Fashion

Popstar turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham is among a host of stars who are to be honoured at Buckingham Palace in London.

Captioning a photo of Victoria receiving her award, he wrote: "I want to say how proud I am of my mum today as she received her OBE".

This isn't the first time the British-born fashion star, who became famous as "Posh Spice" in the Nineties, has been honoured for her contributions to the industry in recent years. Naturally, the style icon looked ultra-chic in a floor-length black dress from her own label which she teamed with burgundy heels. After she was given the award, she publicly stated, "I'm proud to be British". "If you dream big and work hard you can accomplish great things", Victoria Beckham said.

Victoria's husband, former English football captain David, was granted an OBE back in 2003. "I'm so happy to share this very special occasion with my parents and husband; without their love and support, none of this would be possible", she added. She works so hard and really deserves this honour.

While Victoria's four children; Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 12, and Harper, five, were not in attendance, her eldest praised his mother with a heartfelt message on social media earlier in the day.
