Kaepernick 'Justified' in 'Anger and Disgust' Following Philando Castile Verdict

Kaepernick tweeted a picture juxtaposing a "fugitive slave patrol" badge, presumably worn by those who captured - and often killed - runaway slaves in the south, with a modern sheriff's star inscribed with the words "police officer".

Popular Video This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert.

Kaepernick posted the image Friday evening after a Minnesota police officer was acquitted in the July 2016 shooting of Philando Castile. In court, Yanez testified that Philando was pulling the firearm out of his pocket, despite being told not to.

The jury's not-guilty verdict spawned strong reactions from Castile's mother, Valerie Castile, and girlfriend, Diamond Reynolds, who was present with their young daughter at the time of the shooting.

Yanez was also charged with two felony counts of risky discharge of a firearm because Castile's girlfriend and her 4-year-old daughter were in the auto.

Facing a ten-year prison term, Officer Yanez was found not guilty of all charges, including second-degree manslaughter and two counts of improper discharge of a weapon.

"I'm mad as hell right now".

"You call yourself a good cop, but you see one of your colleagues beating somebody", she said. "There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder".
