Antonio Conte hints at fourth Chelsea summer signing

Antonio Conte hints at fourth Chelsea summer signing

"Hi Diego, I hope you are well".

Chelsea: Where are the Blues going on their summer tour? Some naively may have thought that Batshuayi had a chance of regular first team football.

"In the second part of last season, Cesc played a lot of games and he was an important player for us to reach our target of winning the league and also to reach the final of the FA Cup".

"The manager has said himself it is a long season ahead with lots of games and we will need all the players to be ready for whenever the manager needs us".

The Belgium global scored five times in the English top-flight, although four of those goals came in the last three league games of the season.

Of his 28 appearances in all competitions, only seven were from the start and yet he still scored nine goals, including the one that clinched Chelsea the championship against West Brom in May.

"I've met him a lot of times when I have been at Chelsea".

Cahill, 31, skippered Chelsea for the majority of last season with club captain John Terry out of the team, and he has now been rewarded with the job permanently.

"Morata is our first choice".

'He is a great example to other players with his commitment and behaviour every day during training sessions.

The Blues boss reserved praise for his two-goal striker, who moved to Stamford Bridge from Marseille last summer. However, his performances in preseason so far suggest that he is now more accustomed to life at Chelsea. He's a player with the right prospect for Chelsea. We have yet to see the two signings play with Arsenal's typical starting eleven.

"Of course you could see that we were a bit less mature than Chelsea".

Morata has the run on Costa in terms of pace, but not by much.

Here's a look at why he is a step up from Costa.

After a few minutes of medical attention on the ground, the Spanish global walked off the pitch and did not return to the game. However, maybe a combination of Morata and Batshuayi may be enough to negate the loss of Costa.

Chelsea's fullbacks were playing only one game per week last season and it's going to be very hard for them to play high intensity football twice or three times a week when competing in the Champions League.
