Destiny 2 Will Not Support XSplit, OBS, or Discord Functions

The Destiny 2 beta is finally coming to the PC and Bungie revealed what PC players can expect to play when it drops on August 28.

Destiny 2 beta (private and open) is scheduled to give live on PC later this month. "To help ensure that every player will have a fair shot at fun and glory in Destiny 2 on PC, we resist attempts by third-party applications to insert code into the game client", the page reads. Destiny 2 will block such attempts, thus making those applications incompatible.

NVIDIA Shadowplay and AMD ReLive are supported.

The Game Capture mode of applications such as OBS and XSplit is not supported. The devs explain that using the windowed capture modes of those app will be permitted, though.

Not only this, but some features of other third-party applications.

This is explicitly because Bungie doesn't want third-party interference in the games.

It sounds like the upcoming PC version of Destiny 2 will not play nice with a whole lot of popular PC software and application that PC gamers like to use. Additionally, features like "Who's Talking" and other voice communication notifications found in programs like Discord and Mumble aren't supported.

The devs are keen this time around to provide a rich immersive experience to its legion of fans. let us know if you are signing up for Destiny 2's PC beta by commenting in the comments section below.

He added that pre-orders for Destiny 2 have been "very strong" and added that an "overwhelmingly high percentage" of pre-orders have been for the premium versions that include the game and its expansion content.

While the increased emphasis on story is sure to excite plenty of people, Destiny 2 is, first and foremost, a multiplayer game and several of those elements will be available for testing during the beta.
