LG to launch flagship smartphone with OLED Fullvision display

LG to launch flagship smartphone with OLED Fullvision display

Smartphone LG V30, the new flagship of the Korean vendor, has acquired new rumors, and again they revolve around its screen.

LG V30 will be the first 6-inch phone from LG. The technology, which was released in November a year ago, was first debuted on Pixel and Pixel XL handsets but recently arrived on Samsung Galaxy S8 lineup.

This is apparently possible because the upper and lower bezels have been cut down by 20% and 50%, respectively, as compared to the V20.

We should know more on August 31 when LG unveils its latest phone at the IFA show in Berlin.

In fact, the company is using its OLED technology in the smartphone market since the launch of the G Flex 2 back in 2015.

According to preliminary data, LG V30 will support HDR10, and its screen will offer coverage of sRGB at the level of 148 percent.

The company has described its new mobile device as having a 6-inch OLED display, this could indicate that the smartphone will arrive with a taller 18:9 aspect ratio.

However, LG revealed that the still-unnamed upcoming phone would be smaller than its predecessor, the V20, despite possessing a bigger screen.

LG has announced that the V30 will be their first device to feature a Plastic OLED FullVision Display. Fresh information suggest that the LG V30 will be also no less when it comes to multimedia experience.

LG's logo will be on the rear of the phone to ensure that the front portion is all display. Rest of the key specs listed in the report include IP68 dust and water resistance, 6000-series aluminum construction with Gorilla Glass 5, military standard protection, and a heating and cooling pipe to keep the device running cool.

LG's next smartphone will have a plastic FullVision OLED display screen which will be spanking new in its consistency. More important, LG claims that placing the pixels on a plastic substrate is much stronger than a glass base. The LG V30 would be the company's next flagship smartphone, which will have support for Google Daydream as well.
