Ubisoft's For Honor is Free To Play This Weekend

Amidst all the positive news with dedicated servers coming and whatnot, Ubisoft's For Honor will be having a free trial starting on August 10th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

In fact, those on PlayStation 4 and Uplay members can already pre-load the game right now.

Ubisoft's been making quite the push to get more players into their melee-focused combat game For Honor. Expect full access to the game during this time at no cost whatsoever. The game will also be discounted during the trial, which we hope will lead to some extra sales for the great fighting game.

As part of this promotion, For Honor's Standard and Gold Editions (which comes with the season pass) will see a temporary price reduction from August 10 to 15. Do you think this free trial period will get lots of people on board? Progress from the free weekend will carry over, too, so you won't have put all those hours in for nothing. This free weekend will begin on August 10th at 10:00am PDT and will last until on August 13th at 1pm PDT.

After the game's player count on Steam fell to record lows within months of launch - although denied by Ubisoft - the publisher is now offering gamers a chance to try out the game on both consoles and PC.
