Fox News Host Eric Bolling Hits HuffPost Journalist with $50 Million Lawsuit

Fox News Host Eric Bolling Hits HuffPost Journalist with $50 Million Lawsuit

Bolling, the former host of "The Five" and current anchor of "The Specialists", is seeking $50 million in a defamation lawsuit filed Wednesday in New York Supreme Court. Bolling never had any interactions with Ms. Heldman of a sexual nature, and any such accusation would be false and defamatory'. More details are typically included in a criminal complaint, which has not yet been filed.

Ali wrote in an article last week that Bolling had sent "an unsolicited photo of male genitalia via text message" to multiple female colleagues.

On Friday, HuffPost ran an article citing 14 sources that accused Fox News host Eric Bolling of sending nude images to women and co-workers.

"Just received a summons".

Bolling is seeking $50 million in damages from Ali, a freelance journalist and regular contributor to Huffpost.

HuffPost issued a statement in response to the summons: "Yashar Ali is a careful and meticulous reporter". I'm a big boy...but very telling, ' Ali tweeted on Wednesday. Whether or not Bolling will be able to prove that will be seen in court, assuming the two sides don't settle before the matter goes before a jury. I've had family members killed/jailed in Iran, a lawsuit isn't going to scare me, ' he added, writing that he 'stand (s) by my reporting + will protect my sources'.

The firm's principal, Marc Kasowitz, is President Trump's longtime lawyer.

"This anonymously sourced and uncorroborated story is false, defamatory, and obviously meant to destroy this good man's career and family". Unless the Huffington Post reporter has copies of the offending texts that indicate they came from Bolling's account or if any of the unnamed accusers voluntarily come forward, Bolling would seem to have an excellent case. That's in addition from saying sexually-harassing things to them, the sources told Ali.

Ali was first to report that MSNBC was in talks to hire Hugh Hewitt and give him his own show, which it did.

HuffPost also said it had "no hesitation" to financially stand by Ali, who is a paid freelancer under contract with the news organization. FNC had previously been rocked by the forced resignations of its founder Roger Ailes and one of its most well-known on air personalities Bill O'Reilly under accusations of sexual harassment.

Onetime host Gretchen Carlson sent shock waves throughout the media in July 2016 with a suit against the network and Ailes alleging she was terminated for "refusing Ailes' sexual advances".
