Man Rushes Britney Spears on Stage During Las Vegas Show

Man Rushes Britney Spears on Stage During Las Vegas Show

A man rushed onto the stage of Britney Spears's "Piece of Me" show at Planet Hollywood on Wednesday night.

According to TMZ, Britney's knee could be seen buckling during the incident and she asked a security guard if the fan had a gun.

"The incident, caught on video, began as Spears was finishing the last few seconds of her hit, "(You Drive Me) Crazy". In a video taken from a concertgoer, the security guard can be seen wrestling with the man before body slamming him on the side of the stage.

Spears was not immediately aware of the chaos behind her and continued performing until she noticed the commotion.

Thankfully she had a large security team and a group of muscular backup dancers who got a hold of the man.

Initially, Spears did not know a man had intruded on the stage and was notified by a bodyguard that she was in danger.

Wednesday was Spears' first show back after a summer tour of Asia, she noted in a tweet earlier that afternoon. The site reached out to Spears' team and Las Vegas police, but wasn't able to get any information on who the man was or whether any charges were filed. "The audience was very supportive of Britney yelling, 'Leave Britney alone, ' and cussing at the guy".

Next, security escort her off stage.

The pop star was just finishing up a performance in Las Vegas when a man ran onto the stage.

Piece Of Me has topped $100 million in ticket sales, as reported by the Hollywood Reporter.
