Scaramucci to grant interview amid a 'den of lions'

Scaramucci to grant interview amid a 'den of lions'

Scaramucci was the latest casualty of the Trump administration when he was sacked from his position after only 10 days. The Mooch will reportedly appear on noted White House critic Stephen Colbert's "Late Show". Colbert joked after his ouster. "Shut up! You'll get us all killed!"

This will mark Scaramucci's first televised interviews since leaving his Washington DC gig.

On Wednesday night, Scaramucci called New Yorker reporter Ryan Lizza the "Linda Tripp of 2017", a reference to the woman who recorded conversations with Monica Lewinsky about Lewinsky's intimate involvement with President Bill Clinton. His firing came swift after an expletive-filled interview with the New Yorker in which he called then chief of staff Reince Priebus "a f-- paranoid schizophrenic" and accused chief strategist Steve Bannon of trying to commit a sex act on himself.

"It's gonna be fun", Colbert said of his upcoming chat.

Anthony Scaramucci, the short-lived White House communications director, is making the rounds on TV next week. "It will be a lot of fun".

Dozens of television interviewers have been vying to interview the man known as "Mooch".

The booking is a big win for Colbert.
