Week 1 will provide insight on the Pittsburgh Steelers' front seven

Pittsburgh Steelers first-round draft pick T.J. Watt was raising eyebrows in his National Football League debut on Sunday afternoon against the Cleveland Browns.

A 2-yard touchdown pass from Ben Roethlisberger gave the Steelers a 21-10 lead against the Browns with about six minutes left in the third quarter.

Kizer's touchdown pass cut the Pittsburgh Steelers lead to three. Ben Roethlisberger connected with Jesse James for a four-yard touchdown, capping the 91-yard drive, which would send the Steelers into the locker room at halftime up, 14-7.

Roethlisberger improved to 21-2 in his career against the Browns, who gave their rivals all they could handle - a positive sign for coach Hue Jackson and Cleveland fans after a horrid 1-15 season.

The Steelers were forced to punt on their first four possessions, and had almost as many penalties (seven) as rushing yards (nine) at halftime. Chickillo, starting in place of injured Bud Dupree, and rookie T.J. Watt brought down Kizer twice each. The Steelers only managed 290 total yards, and the Browns held Le'Veon Bell to just 32 yards on 11 carries. A team that's in the middle of the road in this area the past three years needs a major spike to have a chance at the 30-points-per-game clip the offense so covets.

The Steelers scored their first TD on a blocked punt and sacked Kizer seven times.

Roethlisberger completed 24 of 36 passes for 263 yards, two scores and an interception.

After forcing a Steelers punt to start the second half, the Browns mounted a seven-play, 53-yard drive that took 4:29 off of the third-quarter clock. Roethlisberger got excellent protection on the play and found James in front of Schobert.
