Janet Jackson Returns With Political Message On

The settlement, in which fans received an undisclosed amount for the postponement of her tour after she became pregnant with son Eissa, is one legal worry off of Janet's plate as she sorts out her divorce from billionaire ex-husband Wissam Al Mana.

The 51-year-old pop star, who recently continued her newly renamed State of the World tour, was singing her 1997 hit "What About" when she paused, covered her face with one hand and sobbed for a few seconds.

The song that made Janet emotional is about domestic and emotional abuse, which features the lyrics: 'What about the times you lied to me?

"Elements of the song have to do with me", she said to Rolling Stone.

Jackson has been making the most of her time in Houston.

The singer captivated the crowds during the opening night of her State Of The World tour in Lafayette, Los Angeles on Thursday, September 7.

The audience at Janet Jackson's Houston show at the weekend were left pretty emotional when she performed her hard-hitting 90s track "What About" for the first time in almost two decades.

On Saturday (09Sep17), Janet took to the stage in Houston, Texas despite the fact residents in the city are still recovering from the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey late last month (Aug17). News that "she brought smiles and hugs", and "she seemed very touched seeing all these people sleeping on cots and her dancers were also very moved".
