Patty Jenkins to Direct 'Wonder Woman' Sequel

Patty Jenkins to Direct 'Wonder Woman' Sequel

Which would make Jenkins the highest-paid female filmmaker in history.

Exactly a week before, Gadot also tweeted another blooper reel showing her laughing during even more scenes of the film, including while on the boat ride leaving Themyscira and during the final fight scene against Ares (David Thewlis).

Sources say Jenkins will receive directing and writing fees in the high seven figures (think somewhere in the $7 to $9 million range) on Wonder Woman 2 but, more significantly, will have a considerable backend.

The first "Wonder Woman" film was Warner Bros. The film earned $409 million domestically and $813 million worldwide.

#WonderWomanwas a labor of love for Patty Jenkins, and the result was a success beyond anyone's expectation.

Jenkins had already begun work on the script for a sequel before the official announcement that she would be directing it.

Wonder Woman now has an 84.52 ComicBook.com Composite Score, the eighth-highest ComicBook.com Composite Score for a comic book movie.

Wonder Woman is still playing in theaters. "I made 'Wonder Woman.' Now I want to make 'Wonder Woman 2.' It's a lovely story to tell, an important time to tell it and with people that I love".

Nobody was surprised when Warner Bros. The film is slated for release on December 13, 2019.

"Wonder Woman", was the first stand-alone movie to star a female superhero since 2005's box office dud "Elektra", and the first to be directed by a woman. By every account I've read, the cast adored Jenkins, and I do too.
