Trump to visit Florida on Thursday to survey Irma damage

More than 6.5 million homes and businesses lost electricity in Florida, and fuel shortages plagued much of the state.

Yesterday Mr Trump suggested rates could go higher for rich people, claiming, "if they have to go higher, they'll go higher, frankly".

The Federal Emergency Management Agency said on Thursday that more than 38,000 federal personnel are now working to respond to Hurricane Irma, including staff from the military and civilian agencies. "So I hope he runs for the Senate", Trump said. "I don't know what he's going to do". But the wealthy two-term governor is considered a leading contender for the Republican nomination to challenge Democratic Sen. Inside a torn-apart mobile home community here, Trump distributed meals alongside his wife, first lady Melania Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, and Pence's wife, Karen. Bill Nelson next year.

Washington D.C. [United States], Sept 12: United States President Donald Trump has said that the devastation caused due to Hurricane Irma in the region was worst than anyone expected.

Sarah Sanders, the White House press secretary, made the announcement during Tuesday's daily briefing. "So I hope he runs for Senate".

While in Naples, Trump will spend around an hour meeting with those impacted by Hurricane Irma, according to the administration.

After Harvey struck Texas, Trump drew criticism for having minimal interaction with residents during his first trip in late August.

President Donald Trump is heading to Florida to survey the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.

Florida's southwestern coast is a haven for retirees seeking warm weather and handsome sunsets across the Gulf of Mexico.

Trump's trip to Florida was his third in less than three weeks to the storm-ravaged South.

On his second visit, to Texas and Louisiana, he was more hands-on.

In a tweet Thursday morning, Trump said he is leaving for Florida to meet first responders and Coast Guards, FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency), and others, as they continue to deal with what the president described "a real disaster".
