One Indian Soldier Killed in Firing By Pakistani Troops

One Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was martyred on Friday, in yet another ceasefire violation by Pakistan, in Jammu and Kashmir's RS Pura, reported ANI news agency.

"Heavy firing exchanges are going on as BSF troopers retaliated unprovoked, indiscriminate firing by Pakistan", the police officer said at around 11.15 a.m.

"Retaliatory fire by BSF killed 2 Pak soldiers", it further said.

Bahadur was on obligation at forwarding point along the fence in Arnia area along the IB when Pakistani Rangers depended on mortar shelling and little arms shoot at around 0020 hours today, announced Press Trust of India.

There have been continuous ceasefire violations by the Pakistani troops for the past three days. The BSF jawan constable Brijendra Bahadur Singh succumbed to injuries. He is a native of Vidya Bhawan Naraypur village in Balia district of Uttar Pradesh. A civilian also got injured in the incident.

On September 1, Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of BSF Kamaljit Singh was killed in Pakistani troops firing in Krishna Ghati (KG) sector of Poonch.

Pakistan has accused India of committing more than 700 ceasefire violations in the first nine months of this year which has resulted in the killing of 32 Pakistani civilians.

However, India has strongly denied Pakistani allegations and said that the incidents of ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops have increased sharply this year.
