Samsung Shop Anniversary Sale: Discounts on Galaxy S8+, Galaxy S8, and More

Samsung Shop Anniversary Sale: Discounts on Galaxy S8+, Galaxy S8, and More

The latest to tow the line is Samsung with its new kind of folding smartphone.

The foldable Samsung Galaxy X will, without a doubt, be one of the most interesting handsets to launch for a while.

The foldable smartphone, which is now known as the Samsung Galaxy X, could be the very first in the smartphone market.

Later, new reports suggested that Samsung has no plans to release it in 2017, instead, Samsung will release Galaxy X in 2019 with foldable OLED displays.

The model number - SM-G888N0 - pertaining to the Galaxy X Foldable phone was listed on the certification and nothing more than that was revealed. So, all the people who would like to have the Samsung Galaxy X need to wait till the next year. While Samsung completely got rid of the side bezels, Apple made the smartphone forehead and chin obsolete. According to the leaked renders online, the device was certified for Wi-Fi in April and Bluetooth in August.

It was even expected that Samsung will release a working prototype of the device this year. A Galaxy X launch would sure help the company make that statement especially now that the iPhone X Is official.

Samsung is already running a "Never Mind" offer where it is offering one time screen replacement on select phones and tablets at a price of Rs. 990. This means that we could see the South Korean tech giant announce this handset first in 2018.

It reports how Koh Dong-jin, president of mobile business at Samsung Electronics, said: "As the head of the business, I can say our current goal is next year". Also, we can expect that the launch of the Samsung Galaxy X will take place at the annual Mobile World Congress next year. It was host to the first "Edge" screens before they trickled down to the standard Galaxy devices, and so using the Note to showcase Samsung's newest flagship display technology makes sense.

Samsung has on many occasions demonstrated foldable or bendable displays but most of the products have been far from commercial standards.
