A reporter detailed graphic incident with Harvey Weinstein amid sexual harassment controversy

New allegations of sexual misconduct have emerged against powerful Hollywood movie executive Harvey Weinstein.

Lauren Sivan, the alleged victim, told HuffPost the incident happened roughly 10 years ago.

She told the outlet Weinstein answered with, "Well, can you just stand there and shut up". Weinstein then allegedly undid his trousers and started masturbating in front of her.

After Sivan rejected his advances, stating that she had a long-term boyfriend, Weinstein allegedly began to masturbate in front of her until he ejaculated into a potted plant, before zipping his pants up and returning to the party.

Scary, disgusting, terrible stuff from a very powerful Hollywood producer. Sivan says she was trapped by Weinstein's body and was intimidated.

Sivan and her friend left the restaurant soon after and recounted her experience.

The former TV journalist said she remained silent over the years out of fear of retaliation due to Weinstein's clout in the media industry.

In response to that article, MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski wanted it to be known that she not only wanted Weinstein to resign but that she would back out of her three-book deal with Weinstein Books if he didn't. Sivan says Weinstein ejaculated quickly into a potted plant that was in the vestibule and then proceeded to zip up his trousers and they walked back into the kitchen.

Sivan's friend, who wished to remain anonymous, reiterated the details of the night to The Huffington Post, who was told about the incident immediately after the two left the club.

According to Sivan, the incident occurred at a Manhattan nightclub called Socialista, connected to the well-known Italian restaurant Cipriani in 2007.

According to the Times story, Weinstein has reached at least eight legal settlements with women over allegations of sexual harassment, with his accusers including actresses Ashley Judd and Rose McGowan. "I can't go forward with these books unless Harvey resigns".

The Weinstein Company board of directors issued a statement late Friday, saying the board members "strongly endorse" Weinstein's leave of absence and take "extremely seriously the accusations" raised in the Times story.

"As Harvey has said, it is important for him to get professional help for the problems he has acknowledged", according to the company.

Following the Times' report Thursday, Weinstein's attorney, Lisa Bloom, said in a statement that "he denies numerous accusations as patently false".
