Danish police find sunken head, legs of missing journalist Kim Wall

Danish police find sunken head, legs of missing journalist Kim Wall

Police have now found a head and two legs that very likely belong to Kim Wall, said Jens Møller, the chief homicide investigator.

He originally said he had dropped Wall off in Copenhagen alive before the sinking, but he later changed his account to say she died in an accident aboard the submarine.

The talented and much-loved 30-year-old was reported missing after boarding Danish inventor Peter Madsen's self-built submarine on 10 August.

Madsen has been charged with manslaughter, which in Danish law implies murder, and he is now in pre-trial detention.

Wall's naked, decapitated torso washed ashore in Copenhagen on 21 August with 15 stab wounds to her ribcage and genitals.

He also denies allegations that crippled her body.

But Jensen said the decapitated head contradicted Madsen's version of events.

He said that the skull showed no sign of blunt trauma to the head.

Madsen was later arrested and held in custody on suspicion of killing Wall. The discovery of the body parts was made on Friday.

Remedy: This story has been refreshed to clear up that some of Wall's remaining parts were found in a different sack from her apparel.

"Yesterday morning we found a bag within which we found Kim Wall's clothes, underwear, stockings, and shoes". "Around noon we found a leg, then another leg, and shortly thereafter we found a head, also in a bag weighted down by several metal pieces". The court ordered him detained for another four months as investigations continued.

Madsen's lawyer Betina Hald Engmark said that she had been informed of the development but that she had not received any material or documentation.
