Uganda takes on Ghana Tomorrow

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan wants the Football Association to protest at FIFA after the Black Stars were denied a flawless goal scored in injury time against Uganda in their penultimate World Cup qualifier on Saturday.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has asked FIFA to consider replaying the match and also sanction the match officials.

Saturday's clash was billed as a make-or-break for the World Cup hopes for both sides, with Uganda two points behind Egypt and Ghana a further two back.

Twenty-one players in camp who all trained Wednesday night at the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi, are bubbling with confidence to undo the high-flying Cranes, and according to Coach Kwasi Appiah, the team will fight to the end.

Egypt need only one point from their final two games to reach the finals, and ensure Ghana miss out for the first time since 2002.

Only seconds later, Thomas Partey had a clear-cut chance for Ghana but his shot ended up in the side net.

Bennett and his assistants ruled that Dwamena had been offside, denying Ghana an equaliser, although replays appeared to show that he was level with the last defender.

The first chance of the second half came from a Patrick Twumasi free-kick that was lofted right above the cross bar, as the Astana midfielder was close to open the scoring for the Black Stars.

Ghana will now face a nervous wait as Egypt host Congo on Sunday, where a draw will end the team's chances of making it to Russian Federation.

A few minutes later, a clear Ghana penalty was waved away by the referee.

Now can we talk about gun control legislation?
What might have raised a red flag? The debate begins again, but I have little confidence that anything substantive will change. The reality is that after so many mass shootings, any argument made against the regulation of gun purchases is invalid.
