Patriots QB Tom Brady Expected To Play Through Shoulder Injury

Patriots QB Tom Brady Expected To Play Through Shoulder Injury

It's related to quarterback Tom Brady and the health of his non-throwing shoulder.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady missed practice Tuesday due to a reported left shoulder injury, although the team did not provide a reason for the reigning Super Bowl MVP's absence.

According to Karen Kuregian of the Boston Herald, Brady first "dinged" his shoulder in New England's October 1 game against the Carolina Panthers.

Brady sat out yesterday to rest a relatively minor left shoulder injury that he suffered in Week 4 against the Panthers and aggravated Thursday against the Buccaneers.

According to Rapoport, Brady will not miss Sunday's game against the New York Jets (3-2).

Brady has been under pressure so far this season, taking 16 sacks - one more than he took in all of 2016.

"I'm good. I'm not anxious about it", he said when he was asked about his injured left shoulder.

Aside from when Brady missed almost the entire 2008 season due to an ACL and MCL tear in Week 1 against the Chiefs, he has been remarkably durable. Eventually, the hits are going to take their toll on a 40-year-old player. Brady doesn't need practice to be ready for a game against the hapless Jets.
