President Trump to Address 12th Annual Values Voter Summit

President Trump to Address 12th Annual Values Voter Summit

The annual Values Voter Summit is sponsored by Christian hate groups like the Family Research Council and the American Family Association, groups that engage in the demonization of LGBT people by falsely portraying them as sick, vile, incestuous, violent, perverted, and a danger to the nation. Looking to Perkins on stage, Trump later said, "He's saying - they're saying no".

"We will not allow government workers to censor sermons or target our pastors, our ministers, our rabbis", President Trump said. These and millions of other voters went heavy for the "working-class billionaire", whom they saw as someone who would push back against an assault on their values and way of life.

"We're getting near that attractive Christmas season that people don't talk about any more, ' Trump said on a day where the thermometer was at a relatively chilly 63".

A later speaker, former Rep. Michele Bachmann, vouched for Trump's religious awakening.

Since taking office in January "we have followed through on one promise after another", Trump claimed. "When America is unified, no force on Earth can break us apart". "I didn't have a schedule, but if I did have a schedule I would say we are substantially ahead of schedule". "These are the people we want to hear from, and they're not going to be silenced any longer". You know, we're getting near that attractive Christmas season that people don't talk about anymore. They don't use the word "Christmas" because it's not politically correct.

The President received a roaring approval from the crowd and a standing ovation when he mentioned the War on Christmas and how department stores and others have been bullied by political correctness. They'll have it painted. 'And as a Christmas gift to all of our hard-working families, we hope Congress will pass massive tax cuts for the American people'.

He says people are saying "Merry Christmas" again.

Turning to foreign policy, Trump told the audience: "Above all else, we know this".

The National Park Service, however, has withdrawn former plans to mount the flag at the insistence of a vexed Secretary Ryan Zinke who wished to make certain "no rainbow flag would be flying on United States government property", reported New York City's Gay City News.

Trump also talked of the courage and resilience he saw when visiting victims of the recent deadly mass shooting in Las Vegas and while touring areas devastated by hurricanes in Texas and Florida - and knocked negative media coverage of his administration's response to devastation in Puerto Rico.

But he mistakenly said he had spoken to "the president" of the Virgin Islands.

White-only Catholics voted for Mitt Romney by a slight margin, while President Trump won them overwhelmingly. However, there is no president of the US territory - that would be Trump himself.
