Trump Calls Billionaire Pro-Impeachment Activist Tom Steyer of California 'Wacky,' 'Unhinged'

Trump Calls Billionaire Pro-Impeachment Activist Tom Steyer of California 'Wacky,' 'Unhinged'

President Trump slammed liberal billionaire Tom Steyer on Friday as "wacky" and "totally unhinged", after he launched a multi-million dollar ad campaign calling for Trump's impeachment.

The three-hour Fox talk show begins at 6:00 am; Trump tweeted about Steyer at 6:58 am. "Wacky & totally unhinged", Trump tweeted about Steyer, who tweeted back that he would continue to fight Trump's "racism and corporate groveling". Steyer contends Trump is pushing the USA toward a nuclear war, is obstructing justice at the Federal Bureau of Investigation and threatening to shut down news organizations he doesn't like.

Trump was responding to a political ad that Steyer, a progressive philanthropist, environmentalist and hedge fund manager, put out last week.

In the video, Steyer outlines all of Trump's "dangerous" moves as President thus far, and said that a Republican Congress "once impeached a President for far less".

But it may have caught Trump's attention when it ran during "Fox & Friends", a morning show that Trump is known to watch.

The $10 million national ad campaign is part of a growing movement to remove Trump from office. The ad encourages viewers who agree with his statements to contact their members of Congress saying so, and to sign a petition at NeedToImpeach.com.

And if "never wins elections!" means Steyer supports only losing candidates, that's a lie. If anything, Trump's Twitter reaction to Steyer (as well as his other instances of irrational behavior) more or less matches those terms.
