Amazon now lets you place products in your home with augmented reality

The feature is available on iPhone 6S devices and higher running iOS 11.

Here's one: Amazon on Wednesday unveiled an augmented reality feature in its iOS shopping app that shows customers a 3-D rendering of how a given product will look in their home or workspace before they order it. AR View isn't a toolkit for developers to make Amazon-friendly AR apps - it's a feature in their own app with which Amazon can sell products. Customers simply open the Amazon App, click on the camera icon and choose AR view. Then you will have to select from various categories such as furniture, toys and games, electronics, Kitchen, etc. Buyers are allowed to rotate the product and see them in a full 360-degree view.

You'll see the item overlayed in real space where ever you point your iPhone camera.

Using Apple's ARKit, Amazon new AR View feature allows users to view and place thousands of virtual items in their homes, which of course includes Amazon's own products such as Echo, Echo Dot and Fire TV.

Amazon already has a slew of other ways to shop, including its traditional website and app. Customers can shop by voice using an Alexa-enabled device.

Meanwhile, Amazon today launched its Black Friday Deals Store offering savings on electronics, toys, and a lot more.
