Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Roy Miller arrested for domestic battery

Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Roy Miller arrested for domestic battery

Nicole Miller told police her husband had barricaded himself inside their bedroom. A braid was torn from the back of her head and her shirt was almost completely ripped off.

The Chiefs have rotated Miller in more in recent weeks, but even then he only has 6 total tackles in 7 games with the Chiefs.

The report said witnesses inside the home corroborated some of the details provided by Nicole Miller, including Roy Miller restraining her from retrieving her phone. After a brief struggle, however, she was able to get to her phone and call the police. However, at least legally speaking, Roy Miller won't have to face a courtroom again until November 28.

Another witness, who told police she had been staying with couple, said she ushered the children to the other side of the house when the argument began.

Police found Roy Miller sleeping inside the bedroom and he agreed to speak to police after being awakened.

The report says the two have been married for six and a half years.

The Chiefs released a statement saying: "This morning we were informed about an incident involving one of our players, Roy Miller".

The 30-year-old, who played his college football at the University of Texas, was originally selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third round (81st pick overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft. "We are still in the process of gathering details on the situation". The Chiefs signed him on August 2. Miller was a starter for all four of his seasons with the Jaguars and made his mark as a run defender. "We will have no further comment at this time".
