Jeremy Piven's 'Wisdom of the Crowd' Canceled Amid Sexual Harassment Allegations

Jeremy Piven's 'Wisdom of the Crowd' Canceled Amid Sexual Harassment Allegations

At any rate, with Crowd's ratings on Sunday, the decision to not order an additional nine episodes to complete a freshman season couldn't have been too hard.

Piven confirmed the show was being canceled via his Twitter account Monday afternoon.

"Wanted to thanks all of you guys for supporting us at #WisdomoftheCrowd sorry we don't get to continue with this great family we have created", Piven wrote. The network will air the remainder of its original 13-episode order, but it will not produce any new episodes, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The remainder of Wisdom of the Crowd's 13 episodes will finish out in the show's current timeslot.

The decision comes just days after a fourth woman accused Piven of sexual assault. It premiered on October 1 to 8.8 million total viewers and a 1.3 rating, but went fractional in the demo with its fifth episode.

Piven is accused of groping Ariane Bellamar on the set of "Entourage", sexually harassing porn star Isis Taylor, and assaulting two more women. To date, it is averaging 7.4 million viewers and a 1.0 demo rating.

Then on November 1, Longmire actress Cassidy Freeman responded to Piven's denial of Bellamar's claims via Instagram, alleging that "whether or not her accusations are true, the TRUTH is I know you".

"I unequivocally deny the appalling allegations being peddled about me", the 52-year-old actor said last month. He even opted to take a lie detector test to refute the accusation against him. Sitcom Me, Myself and I was yanked from the schedule early.
