Emergency protective order issued against OU running back Rodney Anderson

Emergency protective order issued against OU running back Rodney Anderson

Oklahoma Sooners running back Rodney Anderson reportedly had a protective order filed against him on Monday in Cleveland County.

She claims she met Anderson at a bar November 16 and later went home with him. While she had meant to take an Uber ride home, the woman, she claimed, allowed Anderson to take her home at the insistence of his friends.

The woman says that over the weekend, through a conversation with a friend, she started "recalling images and feelings of him forcing his fingers" insider her and biting her. No charges have been filed against Anderson, though a criminal investigation is ongoing, a Norman Police Department detective told Pryor.

According to the Tulsa World, the accuser, who wrote in her statement that she is "scared" for her safety because Anderson knows where she lives, is a University of Oklahoma employee. A year after Joe Mixon headed to the Sugar Bowl after a videotape of a violent act against a woman was released after being sealed away for much of his playing career, Rodney Anderson is faced with an allegation of rape. She also claims that Anderson bit her, and that when she tried to put clothes on and leave, Anderson asked her what she was doing.

In a statement, Anderson's attorney Derek Chance vehemently denied the allegations.

"Mr. Anderson first learned of (the) request for a civil protective order late yesterday evening", Chance's statement reads.

The Washington Post does not normally name the victims of sexual assault.

Anderson's attorney has responded to the allegations saying they are "patently false".

An online case record says Cleveland County District Court Judge Jequita Napoli will hold a hearing on December 18.

The woman claims she was raped by Anderson at her apartment a few weeks ago.

Anderson leads Oklahoma this season with 960 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.

"We're aware and are gathering more information", Oklahoma football spokesman Michael Houck told Pryor. The woman claims they went to a second bar with Anderson.
