Jordan Peele to executive produce CBS 'The Twilight Zone' reboot

Jordan Peele to executive produce CBS 'The Twilight Zone' reboot

Jordan Peele's Twilight Zone is officially on its way. Peele, Kinberg and Ramirez will collaborage on the premiere episode.

Jordan Peele is rebooting "The Twilight Zone" for CBS All Access. Now we've got a little more information from CBS about the reboot, including the fact that Jordan Peele (Get Out) will co-executive produce the show. Simon Kinberg and Marco Ramirez are also listed as executive producers.

United States comedian and film-maker Jordan Peele - known for writing, producing and directing the hit horror flick Get Out, which is heading into awards season - will helm the reboot. However none of these managed to come to fruition, instead CBS seems to have found how they want to move forward. CBS Television Network has announced that a reboot of The Twilight Zone will be joining Star Trek: Discovery in the streaming service's original programming slate.

"'The Twilight Zone' was a touchstone in my life", said Simon Kinberg, Executive Producer.

"The original The Twilight Zone bridged science fiction, horror and fantasy together to explore human nature and provide social commentary in a way that audiences had never seen before", said Julie McNamara, exec vp originals at CBS All Access. The new TV show will be based on Binghamton native Rod Serling's classic series that mixed horror, drama and science fiction. As for the latest reboot, the episode count has not been announced yet.

A 1985 version of the series ran on CBS for three seasons, and UPN tried to bring it back in 2002. Serling wrote nearly two-thirds of the scripts himself. A film was also made in 1983.

You are about to enter The Twilight Zone once again.
