Whoa, These New Sony Xperia Devices Look Like All Other Xperia Devices

Whoa, These New Sony Xperia Devices Look Like All Other Xperia Devices

Sony's 2018 low to mid-range line up has been starting to leak and today Evan Blass has spilled on the details of the Xperia XA2, XA2 Ultra, and L2, including renders of the phones. First, you can see the fingerprint scanner (Sony smartphones it's usually built into the power button on the side).

From the renders, it's hard to make heads-or-tails of the dual front-facing selfie shooters.

These smartphones are rumored to launch at CES next week, or at MWC in February.

The Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra will retain the same 6.0-inch 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution of its predecessor. Specifically, the XA2 is listed with a 21MP, 4K-capable rear camera and 7MP front-facing selfie cam.

On the specifications front, both the Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra will feature octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor clocked at 2.2GHz.

The design language on all three models closely mirrors that of the current Xperia lineup - for better or for worse - but several leaks offer some hope that Sony is also preparing higher-end handsets with significantly reduced bezels. Apart from that, the Xperia XA2 is expected to be available in a 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage configuration, and the Xperia XA2 Ultra is also expected to have a 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant. Well, it's happening again but this time in a press render format and it's accompanied by two other Sony phones, the Xperia XA2 and Xperia L2 with some rumoured tech-specs too. The smartphone will come with a 5.2-inch Full HD display with the screen resolution of 1,920×1,080 pixels. In terms of software, the Xperia L2 will ship with the older Android Nougat OS out of the box instead of 8.0 Oreo on the Xperia XA2 duo. The Ultra model should come with a dual 15 MP front-facing camera (with 4K video) and a 21 MP rear camera, while the regular XA2 will have the same rear camera, but only a single 7 MP shooter on the front.
