Brad Pitt Bid $120000 to Watch 'Game of Thrones' With Emilia Clarke

Brad Pitt Bid $120000 to Watch 'Game of Thrones' With Emilia Clarke

Pitt initially bid $80,000 and then outbid himself to $90,000. However, his bid was unsuccessful. Other A-List celebrities in attendance were Lena Dunham, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Segel, Connie Britton, Patricia Arquette, Mark Burnett and Leonardo DiCaprio, who was honored for his work combating climate change. Clarke was also among the gala's attendees but did not share a table with her Game of Thrones co-star Harrington.

The bidding started at $20,000 and escalated quickly. According to Variety, at one point during the auction, the auctioneer also asked if the "King of the North" was in the room.

Before you freak out about Pitt losing his mind and becoming a creepy Daenerys Targaryen stalker, the money was bid at Sean Penn's charity gala to raise money for Haiti after it was hit by Hurricane Irma in September. When he returned, he offered to join in on the viewing with Clarke and the victor, prompting Pitt to raise his own bid, once again, to $120,000.

It's no surprise that nearly everyone on the planet is obsessed with Game of Thrones, but that doesn't mean it's not still interesting to discover just how into it some of our favourite celebrities are, and how far they are willing to go to get up close and personal with the cast. And that's when Pitt raised his own bid to $120,000. The network recently confirmed that Season 8 of the HBO series will arrive next year. He did win an National Basketball Association weekend experience with San Antonio Spurs, which not only includes tickets to an National Basketball Association game but also a ride on the team's plane in addition to VIP seats at the team's practice sessions and game in Texas. However, DiCaprio ended up with a second Josh Smith original that was also available.
