Xbox One Gets 'Do Not Disturb' Feature

Xbox One Gets 'Do Not Disturb' Feature

Apparently, Microsoft is looking to update Xbox Achievements with a new "Careers" system and other special Avatar bonuses. By selecting Do not disturb, your Xbox will suppress all notifications from appearing, but also inform your friends that you aren't available.

"Sometimes all you want to do is avoid all distractions and focus entirely on your game", the official post states. It also seems that these systems will incorporate achievements in some way, rewarding experience points that contribute toward levels in your overarching career. This list will include achievements across all of your games and will allow you to launch the games from there so that you can earn them.

A feature called Mini Game Hubs will also be available in the guide. These Mini Game Hubs contain the same content seen in regular hubs, such as Achievements, friend activity and so on.

Microsoft did not say when the rest of us can expect to see these features, but it typically takes about a month for testing to wrap up. Comments are now being prioritised in favour of the most recent, and while viewing community posts in full screen, you'll see a preview of the most recent comment. You'll also be able to see who has liked your comments.

On top of the "Next Achievements" feature, Insiders will be able to test additional features as they work their way through the Xbox One Update preview rings.

A few more changes that will be implemented are adjustments to the community feed and additional inactivity shutdown options. The Narrator is also now able to read large amounts of text. Previously you could choose to automatically shut down your console after one hour or six hours of inactivity, but now there are hourly increments in between those options for you to shut down your console after two, three, four or five hours.

There are other new features, but Microsoft isn't ready to talk about them publicly yet and is only rolling them out to a small subset of users as "experimental".

We are aware of the Guide and Home crashing and determined the root cause.

We are investigating the inaccurate RGB colors that have been reported when displaying in 4K HDR mode when playing a UHD disc.

Left and right navigation in Tournament twists is reversed when the console language is set to Arabic or Hebrew.
