TJ Yeldon (illness) not on Jaguars' injury report against Steelers

TJ Yeldon (illness) not on Jaguars' injury report against Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers play host to the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday in the AFC Divisional Round, and for the Steelers, they'll not only be looking to punch their ticket to the AFC Championship, but also avenge their 30-9 Week 5 home loss to the Jags. His 500 yards against the Ravens salvaged a win and his heroics almost knocked off the Patriots despite a lapse of judgement on their last play of the game.

The Jaguars were even the bigger surprise. "You have to go out and play every play, and enjoy every play and game, like it's your last". That's the big difference, and the main reason why Pittsburgh is favored by about a touchdown.

Brown was one of the few bright spots for the Steelers when the two teams met in Week 5. It shows at various times throughout the year he's looked really good.

No one is stressing Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles beating them with his arm but the Buffalo Bills learned last week that he can beat you with his feet.

So what will it take for the Jaguars to post another win over Pittsburgh? It'll probably be a similar situation that nets him another pick, but the Steelers will take what they can get in the turnover department at this point.

The Jaguars are huge, physical, and have tremendous defensive backs. Campbell had the most sacks in the AFC this season with 14.5 sacks - a Jaguar record.

PREDICTION: If Roethlisberger throws five interceptions against the Jags again, he just might rekindle talk of retirement.

So when asked about how he looks to silence his critics, Bortles gave one of the realest answers he possibly could. Two days before a playoff game, here's Le'Veon Bell, I'm not going to settle for anything.

"It only becomes more important".

Add in the factor that the defending NFC champs are playing as well as any team in the league right now and I have to go with the Falcons. We have another opportunity with them. "All I can think about and worry about is this defense that we are playing". He is one of six quarterbacks in history to start 20 or more postseason games. But he set career-lows in the opener against Houston when he was 11-for-21. Jacksonville lost both games. But Bell and Brown should step up this time, leaving Jags with surprising matchup challenge for the talented Jags secondary against up-and-coming TE Vance McDonald.

Hopefully, we can enjoy this weekend the same way and truly appreciate what we are watching. Fournette rushed for 181 yards, including a 90-yard touchdown run, in the first meeting against the Steelers. We're going into it with our plan and what we want to do and get a feel for the game and find out what we're thinking, what's working, what's going on. Bell knows Pittsburgh's best chance to finally unseat the Patriots is with his No. 26 featured prominently.

-Steelers WR Antonio Brown vs. Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey. He has played much better since that contest. Jacksonville beat the Steelers quite handily at Heinz Field earlier this year. This is the first time Jacksonville has qualified for the postseason since the 2006 season. That's when the Jaguars intercepted five of Roethlisberger's passes, two of which they returned for touchdowns in a 2-minute, 39-second span in the third quarter.

"I don't think anybody can say that [about the Jaguars' defense]", said Tomlin.

In this December 17, 2017, file photo, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (12) plays against the Pittsburgh Steelers, in an NFL football game, in Pittsburgh.

But it was obvious that the Jaguars game was still haunting Roethlisberger, even this past week when the Steelers were idle. The Jaguars also beat the Steelers 31-29 the last time the teams faced off in the playoffs in January 2008.

"We got a little behind the 8-ball when we played them the first time", Bell said Wednesday. "I don't think it is my last". "We'll see how the game goes". Bouye to offer his response. During an interview at the Steelers' training camp in Latrobe, Pa., in the summer of 2016, he said he was not viewing what remained of his career as a countdown to the finish. "I'm going there and literally feeling like it's new, like I haven't played in a minute, I want to get back out there". The Steelers won't be overly concerned with Bortles stretching them vertically: He hasn't completed a pass longer than 40 yards in his past seven games.

-The Jaguars' first playoff appearance since 2007 is earning the Jaguars some national recognition.
