India is getting younger. Unfortunately, Indian media, which
professes
to be the voice of youth, act otherwise. In fact, it uses the raw sentiments & emotions of youth, only to further the interest of political parties, which are represented by aging leaderships. It is surprising to know that a country, which has the largest percentage of youth population, has a government, which neglects the interest of this section like anything.
Do you want a proof? You must look back and ask your dad. Your dad went to watch movies on subsidized ticket, traveled on subsidized state roadways busses and enjoyed summer vacation on almost free railway passes.
These are a few instances, when youth enjoyed governments' attention. Many other could be cited. And these priviledges were in the times, when not only leadership was aging, but the general population was also aging. Don't fall prey to easy conclusions like our grandparents were more caring thus they provided booty to our parents. The fact is that our parents in their youth were much more united among themselves thus made the politicians scramble for votes. We are disunited and divided so despite being in the dominating numbers, we are unable to set the agenda of our country.
We being young journalist took upon the responsibility of guiding, motivating & shaping our responses towards the country and society so that we could shape the future of our country and take control of its present.
Lets us join hands in the endeavour!
